Wellbeing Week

Our annual Wellbeing Week is back and bigger than ever! A week designed to help students with their mental and emotional wellbeing, throughout the week our students will enjoy activities such learning meditation and mindfulness, yoga and therapeutic crafts, as well as entering wellbeing raffles and hearing top wellbeing tips from JC6 staff.  

Mindfulness Monday

We have encouraged students to try out a mindful activity or breathing exercise, as well as introducing them to the 'Headspace’ app:


A Lego room has also been set up for students to unwind and enjoy in their free time.


On Tuesday students can be their own DJ and enjoy the relaxing benefits of listening to music by playing songs of their choice in Cafe6. 

Thanks to donations by our local Morrisons supermarket, free fruit was also available to students in the Study Area. (Strawberries proved particularly popular!) 

Wellbeing Wednesday

All students have chosen a wellbeing activity to take part in during PDP. From Yoga and colouring, to cooking and singing, all sessions are designed to show students activities which can boost your mood, relax your mind and promote positive wellbeing. 

Thoughtful Thursday

We encouraged students and staff to do random acts of kindness on Thursday. The JC6 team even hid 'Choose Kindness' cards around the building which entitled the lucky students who found them to an Easter Egg for themselves and a friend! 

Fundraising Fri-Yay

We held a free raffle which gave all JC6 students the chance to win a Sketchley Grange spa vouchers, gym passes, leisure centre swim passes, Easter eggs, stress balls and much more! We did however encourage students to donate any spare change they had to mental health charity Mind.
